A physician's assistant who became New Jersey's first case of coronavirus has spoken out about the disease from his hospital bed and warns others to take the threat seriously.
James Cai, 32, fell ill last weekend while attending a medical conference at a hotel in Times Square.
He has been hospitalized since Tuesday at the Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, New Jersey. So far, 13 people have been tested for COVID-19 in New Jersey. The other 11 cases have come back negative.
'Every day is getting worse,' Cai said Monday during an interview with CBS, adding that 'it happened so quick'.
'A lot of people say it’s OK, don’t wear masks. I don’t believe that,' Cai said.
Cai, who works and lives in Manhattan and Fort Lee, New Jersey, said the virus is not one to be taken lightly.
In New York, where Gov Andrew Cuomo recently declared a state of emergency, cases of the coronavirus have shot to 142.

I am not a Dr but I know the difference between a cough that is just at your throat and one that is coming from way deeper.
I did a tactic that got her to leave for awhile. I stopped doing what she was watching.....but when she came back she ended up sitting next to me.
I almost blew a gasket but just decided to get up and leave.
I have seen her before and she has just sit around and watched people annoyingly before..but this time she was coughing A LOT.

There is a SMALL chance she had it..and a SMALLER chance she gave it to me.

btw, I have no fever. Just irritating cough in UPPER chest, headache, slight runny nose....and starting to feel bad. Could just be a cold I caught from an idiot coughing all over me......or not...
I think I read 1 in 7 develop pneumonia
The Italian dr said people come in and they cant see anything on Xrays and test negative.
Then they come back with problems breathing and test postive
He also said intubating them early on seemed to help.
Recommended more CT scans.
