Continuation of the thread.
Good morning, world.
I ventured out into the nearest suburbs (I live way out in the sticks) and checked out the nearest N. CT Walmart.
My mission: See what it is like out there and then top off on some stuff. I came in just after rush hour was over so traffic was light. My theory was that Walmart would have had time to restock after the normal weekend rush.
The only totally empty aisle was the toilet paper/paper towel aisle. Not good. I have plenty so no big deal here, but still..
They were very low on garbage bags, but I did find a large package of tall kitchen bags (there was only one) so I grabbed that.
The canned food area was picked through heavily, but I did pick up some more tuna fish.
No issues in the dog food aisle—grabbed some more for man’s best friend. He now has enough food to outlast any zombie apocalypse at this point.
Most of the rest of the store looked normal.

Not good
Sounds perfect. I’m tugged by wanting to move where it’s warmer too.
(Don’t worry, I won’t take any typical Northeasterner voting when I go!)
I heard the number of new cases dropping in South Korea. That is good news if so.
Does anybody have a link to a chart that show this?

He better be. If he goes down, we’re really screwed.

This US by state data set has been updated (see the tabs—as of this moment the latest was updated on midnight).
It looks like some of the data that was corrected here (KY and VA info) has now been updated and matches what was discussed here last night:
This is the latest international data I see—could be outdated but shows S. Korea with new cases:

That’s about how my walmert is here.
It’s not at hurricane about to make landfall levels, but people are stocking up, which is a smart thing to do.
Even out here in podunville, little local churches have a website with live services. No need to create noise disturbance for the neighborhood.
Former Masshole here, then spent 25 years in Ctrl FL, then moved to rural Missouri in the Ozarks because I wanted to get away from the heat, see hills again and four seasons. First two years here, heat wave with temps over 100 and we didn’t have electric which means no air conditioning. I said to the wife a few days ago, “well, moving out to the boonies is finally paying off”. LOL
I’ve always wanted some land. Always loved working in the yard. Got sick of fixing up other people’s property aka rentals and could never afford to buy in FL so here we are. No shortages on anything here yet. It’s like c-virus doesn’t exist. Business as usual. We have no TV so if we didn’t get on the web, we wouldn’t even know about it.
Adding - they’ve been doing living streaming for years so nothing new.
My idiot cousin returned from a 10 day cruise 2 weeks ago, worked at Rodeo Houston for a week, and just left 2 days ago on another cruise with her kids for spring break.
I can’t bring myself to respond to her Facebook posts anymore.
I listened to the local news/talk radio station (WTIC—Hartford,CT).
The local conservative talk show host was a hard core “just the flu bro” guy.
I really like him, too. He does not know what he does not know. I would like take a few days and go live in his world—I really would...
“I cant bring myself to respond to her Facebook posts anymore.”
I suspect she won’t be posting for a while...if not longer.
Sounds glorious!!
Just curious....who’s your internet provider, out in those boonies?
