Continuation of the thread.
Actually, your Palmolive will probably work just fine with rubbing alcohol. Or any sort of moisturizing hand gunk. You just need enough alcohol to kill viruses and enough goop to keep your hands from drying and cracking.
I got pure aloe at a local health store...FWIW (I bought a gallon)
HAH! If it was the HR person at the place I worked in the early 2000’s, they’d be keeping everyone there even if lava was flowing in through the roof — unless of course they wanted to get rid of you because you hesitated at the draconian NCA they sprang on even super-dedicated employees after 10 years of employment...
Think people are still finding them at paint supply stores. Ones that sell to industry. You could try Ebay but they have been deleting the posts. I would concentrate on immune boosting. Did you post your temp ? You might want to post a thread on the masks. Maybe see if anyone has extras. Things are getting weird. I just saw a thread on Facebook get deleted. Person was sick asking for help. Could not get tested. Was trying to offer him advice.
Good idea to stop hoarding of these products, although I'm sure people will simply make multiple trips to the same store, or go to another nearby Publix to stock up on the limited supplies on that list.
Does your local Publix actually have hand sanitizer and face masks?? I cannot find those *anywhere* in my area of northwest / north-central Connecticut. Saw a sign today in my local smallish family-owned supermarket: "Sorry: We will have NO hand sanitizer until September 2020".
September?? WHAT the hell?!
Yeah - looking for something for times handwashing (running water) is not practical / available. But also don’t want to spend 2-3 minutes rubbing hand lotion into my hands 30 times a day.
I don’t really think I need to add alcohol to Palmolive for hand soap...
Ok, might try there. Amazon & Wal Mart show Aloe Gel in smaller bottles (than a gallon), but at what seemed to me to be high prices.
OOPS. I meant “NDA”. Too many dang acronyms !
Well, it was sort of a NCA too, now that I think about it! Must be getting too late...
Yes, one contractor supply store did say they might be getting more masks in - I should recheck again.
Soap works fine for bacteria but the rubbing alcohol will kill the virus.
all health care workers need to be tested now. Especially nursing homes. And retested (remember false negatives with this critter)
but I don’t think we have any 10-min tests for clocking in in the morning lol

Thought it was interesting.
Oh man, Ireland cancelled all of their St Pattys parades. I know my boy is not going to be happy about that.
The more severe one is in Florida ?
Thanks so much. I just ordered
“I also picked up (locally) some bacteria and virus killing wipes. Those things really dry out my hands...”
Most (all?) of those wipes are for cleaning surfaces - they are bad on skin. Read the label. Washing with soap is good - but our hands are getting raw. Viruses can get in through the cracked skin - not sure if for the CV it matters seeing as that needs to get to our lungs. Although I guess there might be a pathway.
Rubbing alcohol (91% to 99%) can still be had on Amazon at a price. Mix with aloe vera gel (also at Amazon) in the correct proportion ot get it above 60% alcohol.
