PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and any tips you might give the group on how you solve these puzzles as puzzle solvers love to hear how you made out.

We have some unwritten and unofficial rules here with regard to clues to help decipher the CG, as they’re getting better and better each day, and in many ways more difficult to figure out than the CG, (esp the ones Magnum44 cooks up.)
Rule 1 is not to have any of the actual words of the quote in the clue.
Rule 2 the more tangential the clue the better. E.G. the CG has the word APPLE in it, and you show a picture of Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig in their pin stripes, (New York=Big Apple).
Rule 3 Make them funny and/or thought provoking.

I did too, but looks like the Arkansas Gazette thought differently, and to give us a quick clue out of the box. In fact, I couldn’t write this one out fast enough. How about you?
This one was automatic. One of the easiest. I just started with the first word and got to typing.
Common letter and short words made a quick start, then I got stuck a bit, but got it in the end.
