This is really interesting.

Shiji already has a huge presence in U.S. hotels.

Shiji Group acquired StayNTouch in September of 2018.

Ready for a coincidence and tinfoil hats?

Li Zhongchu. Founder, Chairman, President, Controlling Shareholder
Mr. Li Zhongchu has been involved in theoretical physics research since receiving his Master’s degree of Engineering in 1987. He left his original research institute and founded Beijing Shiji Information Technology Co., Ltd in 1998. Currently Mr. Li is the chairman and president of Shiji, as well as the Director of the 6th Board of Shiji. Mr. Li Zhongchu graduated from Wuhan University and received a Bachelor of Science with a major in Space Physics.

Shiji Americas is one of the fastest growing technology and service providers in the American hospitality industry. Today, over 56% of all hotels in the U.S.A. use Shiji technology in their stack. Our US offices provide support for all time zones with experts in every part of the industry from hospitality to distribution to food & beverage to tech.

That is astonishing growth and market capture in only four years with 100 employees.

This seems like rather ordinary messaging tech, so what in the world is here that endangers the USA? Thoughts...
Maybe Shiji is a PLA company?
Maybe they are using this tech to track the travel of Americans and key executives? There could be a lot of strategic and military value in knowing how many people from a company are traveling to an area, who is traveling and when.
There has got to be a LOT of intel buried in 362 GB of "hotel assets" each and every day.

Good. But the problem is - how much has been transferred throu the due diligence process that shouldn’t have been? Not IP like source code but information that is very useful to the prospective buyer even if the transaction doesn’t go forward such as customer data and internal costs. I’ve reviewed patents and IP as part of acquisition DD and know that if a buyer asks for something, 9 times out of 10 it will be provided as long as the parties are not hostile and want the deal to go through.
