It is interesting that he “got” it, and she did not. I guess they might have been separated during the entire trip, but it seems likely they were not, which also indicates either that she had some natural immunity, or that the virus doesn’t spread TOO easily.

Men get it slightly more than women but that doesn’t really account for husband but not wife

It likely doesn’t apply well in that situation, but for whatever reason, men appear to be about 60 more likely to get it than women.

It likely doesn’t apply well in that situation, but for whatever reason, men appear to be about 60% more likely to die from it than women at least in China. Smoking is as good an answer as any right now.
