I know this is a big leap but could this have been entrapment by a social justice warrior?
Since Olive Garden and NBC didn't bother to track down the screaming customer could the customer have done this as a test or a set-up?
Unless the customer was drunk, how many customers would start screaming and making a scene? Could the customer be a SJW who wanted to create a fake hate crime?
The customer is always white, er, right....
Maybe so, but I’m thinking that every black employee lined up in order to spit on the customers order.
There is more to this story.
This doesn’t smell right.
Entrapment or not the manager would have to have an IQ of less than 50 for fall for this.
Either that or the manager just arrived to this century from 1842, which I consider possible but unlikely.
So we’re back to a less than 50 IQ.
You can’t figure out in the year 2020 that you’re going to get in trouble for going along with something like this?
IQ less than 45.
This fits NBC’s agenda so the story ran. If I were the manager, the customer would have been thrown out.
it wasn’t like he did something crazy like demand real Italian food.
“could this have been entrapment by a social justice warrior?”

Not likely, she was with a group apparently. In the fakes they usually work alone so they can’t be traced as easily.
Also, if you did catch somebody with this, they should have known better. It would be like demanding a bus driver to tell all the black people to give up their bus seats to white people and move to the back of the bus. If the driver does it, he would be a moron.
I find this VERY hard to believe as it is written.
Who knows what really happened? Think about it - a national news channel is now getting into reportage of teen disputes in restaurants. Why?
Whatever was going on, the customer should have been asked to leave for being abusive and disorderly. If a person behaves this way in a bar or nightclub, they get bounced out.
Did the customer simply ask for a server she trusts, or did she specifically ask for a nonblack server? I guess well never know for sure, unless the customer is found and gives her side of the story.
This could be a ginned-up incident. But if the customer really did ask for a nonblack server, she should have been tossed out of the restaurant. Immediately.
I was surprised anyone actually went to Olive Garden
That was the news story here
With all the fake news lately, consider the source.
20/20 does a show where they set up these kinds of scenarios to see how people react, maybe John Quinones fell asleep.
Sounds like a set-up Fake News story.
In a week , a harder to find story will appear, saying it was all a set- up or completely made up.
THe correct response is “We will not be able to serve you tonight, you may leave now.”
Coincidence?

NBC = NBS SINCE COMCAST TAKEOVER.
BTW, people ARE LIKE THIS. This is not something that isn’t happening every day, not just with minorities, but women, men, whatever.
I was in a Red Robin a few days ago, and some guy at a window table starts shouting across the restaurant about needing his server back. And then offensive things about her looks, and then that he would like a guy who knows what he is doing to come over.
And yes, the restaurant sent a guy over to finish up the customer, as if this was acceptable behavior. The girl I was with in the meantime looked right at the guy and said “That was just f*cking rude”.
I was happy that he didn’t decide to come beat me up. But he was rude, and deserved it.
