Democratic Primary Voters Decisively Rejected the Media's Favorite Candidates

The pundits and newspapers pushed Warren, Klobuchar, and Buttigieg, but Super Tuesday voters just wanted boring old Biden and Bernie

As Super Tuesday finally transfigures the Democratic presidential nomination process into a binary choice between two old, occasionally problematic white men whose enduring popularity is consistently underrated by a baffled mainstream press, it's worth reflecting on just how poorly the media's preferred candidates performed in the 2020 race.

In the end, The New York Times' dual Democratic presidential endorsements—bestowed upon both Sens. Elizabeth Warren (D–Mass.) and Amy Klobuchar (D–Minn.)—were like the points on Whose Line Is It Anyway?: They just didn't matter.

Nor did the media's fawning over South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg, early flirtation with Beto O'Rourke, and absolute worship of Sen. Kamala Harris (D–Calif.) resonate with the millions of Americans living outside the Acela corridor.

Yglesias famously described Vox's audience as "a graduate of or student at a selective college (which also describes the staff and our social peers)" and lamented that "if you assigned me the job of serving a less-educated audience [I'd] probably need to think about how to change things up."

Why do the young with less experience believe they are endowed to lecture and ‘educate’ the older experienced people who educated them?

No humility or class.

Biden is seen as moderate. I don’t think he has any core principles. He is not passionate about anything. I doubt he would arrange a nuclear bomb deal with iran or give them billions of our money. He wouldn’t take all the money billionaires earned. He wouldn’t try to being in millions of bearded savages to rape our women.

Humans learn by:

Education
Experience

So if you are ‘young’ that means your education is incomplete and also, your experience is limited.

Bottom line- you don't know squat.

Add a laughable lack of common sense to that and you are really screwed!

Biden is a blank slate. Which is the way his puppet masters want it.

What about all the underballot races, for the primaries of the Democrat candidates for various House and Senate races?

There had been a threat to run far-left candidates in many of these races, if the “establishment” Democrat was too moderate, made by AOC and various other spokespersons for the Green New Deal. These “true believers” were expected to be part of the strategy of shifting the entire electorate, and who knows, they may yet be successful.

Just maybe not in the way they had hoped.

“Democratic Primary Voters Decisively Rejected the Media’s Favorite Candidates”

that’s basically complete BS: media kept changing who its fav candidate was, presumable on orders from the DNC ... when comrade bernie looked like he was going to win the nomination, a couple of weeks ago the DNC ordered the entire fake stream enemedia to put on a full court press in trashing comrade sanders and building up jo bidn to be their new favorite candidate like jo was the second coming ...

so, what IS true, is that the DNC rigged the media to try to crush bernie and it apparently worked ...

Part of wisdom is understanding the limits of one's knowledge. Another part of wisdom reveals that understanding is more than 'having the answers'...much more difficult (and important) is figuring out the questions.

Time is an ally in the quest, which is of no benefit to the young.

“Biden’s climate and environmental justice proposal will make a federal investment of $1.7 trillion over the next ten years, leveraging additional private sector and state and local investments to total to more than $5 trillion.”

“If the global temperature continues to increase at the current rate and surpasses 1.5°C, the existential threat to life will not be limited to just ecological systems, but will extend to human life as well.”

“The United States must have a bold plan to achieve a 100% clean energy economy and net-zero emissions no later than 2050 here at home. On day one, Biden will sign a series of executive orders that put us on this track. And, he will demand that Congress enacts legislation in the first year of his presidency that 1) establishes an enforcement mechanism to achieve the 2050 goal”

I thought we were down to eleven years, but Joe says we have thirty.

“the Biden Plan will increase the size of tax credits by calculating them based on the cost of a more generous gold plan, rather than a silver plan.”

“Middle class families will get a premium tax credit to help them pay for coverage. For example, take a family of four with an income of $110,000 per year. If they currently get insurance on the individual marketplace, because their premium will now be capped at 8.5% of their income”

“The Biden Plan will help middle class families by eliminating the 400% income cap on tax credit eligibility and lowering the limit on the cost of coverage from 9.86% of income to 8.5%.”

“Governors and state legislatures in 14 states have refused to take up the Affordable Care Act’s expansion of Medicaid eligibility, denying access to Medicaid for an estimated 4.9 million adults. Biden’s plan will ensure these individuals get covered by offering premium-free access to the public option for those 4.9 million individuals who would be eligible for Medicaid but for their state’s inaction, and making sure their public option covers the full scope of Medicaid benefits.”

DRUGS

“The board will recommend a reasonable price, based on the average price in other countries (a process called external reference pricing) or, if the drug is entering the U.S. market first, based on an evaluation by the independent board members. This reasonable price will be the rate Medicare and the public option will pay. In addition, the Biden Plan will allow private plans participating in the individual marketplace to access a similar rate.”

“the Biden Plan will allow consumers to import prescription drugs from other countries, as long as the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has certified that those drugs are safe.”

“Biden is seen as moderate.”

Biden needs to be seen as pretty much a failure except for being a US Senator from a small state.

He is a vote buyer and is prepared to snatch corporate and personal money to get ahead.

Biden is not as left-wing as Sanders, but he will ensure leftists rule the USA for decades.

These leftists will impose wealth taxation in Sanders style.

Biden is not a safe choice for those with wealth or those willing to work.
