I wonder how many Dem voters will know they are essentially voting for the vice president for President.

In Missouri, in the 2000 election, the candidate (Mel Carnahan) died before the election and the lieutenant governor actually instructed voters to vote for the dead man on the ballot, promising he would substitute the dead man's wife (Jean Carnahan) after the election, and that is exactly what happened, making a mockery of the election process, in my opinion.
