So we’re back? Good.
One issue we’re having here...we have no institutional knowledge of a pandemic like this in any of our ‘institutions’.
The last generation that had something like this would have been in charge in the 1918 flu pandemic. Let’s say they were in their 40’s and 50’s. probably born after the civil war until 1880 or so.
These people probably retired in the depression through the end of WWII.
Their direct reports probably were gone by the late 60’s/early 70’s.
Before then, every public health official had epidemic/pandemic knowledge with a ‘scary microbe’.
