NCL has a system whereby you can bid on auction for an upgrade up to two levels. They can be fairly cheap. That will probably change. They might even let you go higher.
My sister and her beau left on an 18 day cruise Sunday. She is an avid cruiser and quite the expert on getting every possible discount, upgrade, perk and plus. I have no doubt she pulled out all the stops on this one. She is also one of those cruisers who loves the underway time, and this one is a Hawaii cruise, with far more time underway than in ports. She probably wouldn't be too disappointed if they were not allowed to pull into Hawaii, and spent the entire time cruising.
