I grabbed a couple of cans of the powered stuff and yes, electrolytes help when you’re sick. We get some gatorade whenever one of us has the flu. None of us have had it in a couple of years but got it all the time before that. My wife works in a retirement home and brought everything home so I think we’ve been through all the common strains of the flu and have built up immunity, hence we don’t get them now.
Homemade electrolyte water = 1/2 teaspoon salt into a liter of water.
