This is a few miles from me. These people are idiots. I think I heard some lame excuse that because the WHO hasn’t called it a pandemic yet, that they can’t show up in protective gear.
On twitter it showed the medics rolling up. They jumped out in their normal uniforms and no masks. The video stopped, so I don’t know what sort of PPE they donned. Little to none I’m guessing, as the earlier fire fighters (25?) are all showing “flu” symptoms and on quarantine.
Some of those early photos of Chinese with buckets over their heads showed them better protected than these people.

In looking more closely it appears the medics are the young men seen through the vehicle window. Googles or safety glasses, a too-loose fitting mask and a disposable gown worn loosely over their dark uniform.
