I was just remarking on that.
Seems to me P vaccine (and I was very upset when my doctor told me I should get ANOTHER one the next time I saw him after getting the first shot!) doesn’t protect you from the covid. But it does protect you from other pneumonias getting in when you’re weakened by the covid.
In China much of the adult male population smokes cigarettes, but just breathing the air in most Chinese cities damages a persons lungs.
As for first responders here, they are normally physically healthy (yes with exceptions), but some occupational exposure I suppose?
Every time I’ve been to China I can feel the poor air quality- I can’t imagine spending my life there.
Under normal circumstances, that’s true. But we’ve received emails saying they’re gearing up, and they can reduce occupied ICU beds by postponing elective surgeries that they know will result in ICU stays.

When most people think about the common cold virus, they think rhinoviruses, but there are also several coronaviruses and other viruses associated with seasonal “common colds”. Really, the common cold is just a set of symptoms with several causes.

But I have gone over to the CoVid-19 Support. There, folks are in an anxiety and real panic that they can’t help. So I tell them about the Gilead Phase III trials. They appreciate that and their worries are lessened.

That is true. But that’s a very small number.
Hospitals are not likely to forgo a bed/day in anticipation. I know that doesn’t sound right, but it is the way hospitals are run these days.

UVC is what you want. It is not natural so nothing has any defense against it.
I deal with industrial UVC used for UV inks. We have some irradiators that pump out around 600 Watts. They are NASTY. If you expose one in a warehouse outside of the safety enclosure, it looks like someone opened the Arc of the Covenant in Raiders of the Lost Ark. It also creates an insane amount of Ozone.
The problem with these lights is they are very damaging to the human eye. You need to have safety goggles designed for these wavelengths. If you can look at it without goggles, it's not strong enough to be a germicide.
UVA and UVB also disinfect, but are not nearly as effective.
President Trump has FAILED THE UNITED STATES. Every case now being discovered is someone who flew in from a country where we know it’s out of control. The woman in New York City got back from Iran, Rhode Island from Italy.
In my opinion, the President has failed to protect our country and a lot of people are going to die. We could have bought a year or more or held it off.
