Im more worried about the panic than the disease.
Panic is scheduled for this coming week, expect Presidential address from Oval Office calling for calm no later than Wednesday the 4th.
I thought the same. I dont know much about S Korea. But, being from Spain and having visited Italy, Im thinking SK May be more efficient and aggressive.
Thats a huge jump .
The number almost doubled .
Not good.
“This hospital is on the front line of these types of things, and Im wondering if theyre keeping the ICU census low so they can handle an influx.”
Public health officials in the US have been warning, and planning for community spread for at least a month.
He was lucky not to have been one of the dead ones.
Lookner: Several paramedics just arrived at the nursing facility in Kirkland
Yeah, the newest China data shows slower spread than originally feared. Likely due to their draconian quarantines.
But the mortality rate shows higher than originally reported.
The chances of YOU dying from this is about 1000:1
40-70% of us will get it. On the low end, 1% of those will die. So maybe more like 200:1? 100:1?
“Im VERY stuffy, but also have drainage...”
I have chronic sinus issues. Thank goodness those symptoms are not associated with Covid-19.

Prayers for those folks. Several weeks ago I had read that 29(?) people in nursing homes in Washington state had died of the flu. And now this.

If you’re over 70 anything that gives you pneumonia is deadly.
The media reports on flu deaths every year.
No one pays attention. Why? Because its normal. Hospitals staff for it. They are literally built for the peaks.
This thing happened at the same time. Hospitals could not handle the additional traffic.
People dont understand how stuff works. Therefore, they freak out.
