Not saying it’s trolls, but it’s trolls.
Look for small obscure penny stocks or worse to benefit from all the hype fear reflexes. One in particular which I follow has new board members within the time frame of the virus outbreak.
Double in two days did happen for the stock price.
Go to the sound of the hype.

Just a tad - if each of the cases that have occurred (not the ones who haven’t died or recovered so far) infects 300 or so others, the world wide total could approach the number of Americans that get the Flu every year.
My observation is that anyone that anyone who is heavily invested in the stock market is the ones calling for the rest of us
to chill out.

We can assume that being poor and in debt past your eyebrows, you can’t possibly understand that if you did not panic sell, you lost nothing
You are aware that a crashing market has a real impact on the economy? Mortgage defaults will climb as layoffs will occur, etc. All for the 3 - 5 year cycle of “this one is the end! Trust us.”
The market move is based on the impact on Chinese manufacturing.
That is a real impact for this year.
The market would be foolish to ignore it.
When Chinese manufacturing turns around, the market will reflect that.
A virus spreading country to country. Naaahhh. Not interesting or relevant. Let’s talk about what you want. (eye roll)
That is what the yellow press wants...Don’t trust anything you read.
If nothing else it’s a respite from wall to wall Bernie.
Part of me thinks its pent up emots/fatalistic attitude/boredom from health challenged boomer-age folks that know they're more susceptible to the flu to begin with. And the ones that have a panicked attitude over everything anyway have just been put into a total frenzy.
