CDC is a tower of incompetence right now, apparently. State and local health departments should be doing the heavy lifting. And why in heck do they need permission from the CDC to stock up on masks, tests, etc.? They should have just gone ahead and done so. Asking the CDC for permission is something best honored in the breach right now.
Our local Hospital system is preparing now. They are already purchasing items. I think the only thing they are running low is the face mask.
