Question for you or anyone who has/had a berkey.
We have one complete with filters. Got it in ‘12 or ‘13 for use during a storm and the ‘boil water’ after that seemed to last forever.
It’s been put up in a pantry since then. Are those filters still good if we reprime them?
Any idea?

Woman who passed was a medically HIGH RISK patient she was in her late 50’s I will bet she was undergoing cancer treatments and her immune system was severely compromised!!! When undergo cancer treatment you go to so many different healthcare places you are in so much danger of picking up anything!! I had cancer of uterus treatments were HORRIBLE my immune system was a mess I did not go anywhere except to treatments, neighbor did my shopping ect. you have to be SO CAREFUL!!

BREAKING: Washington state confirms first US death from #coronavirus. Washington State Department of Health, said that a 19-year-old patient in the state has died from COVID19. A news conference will be held by officials in King County at 4:00 pm EST.
I’m thinking they should be. That’s our situation, too. I’d removed the two filters and dried them out. I also, recently, purchased two new ones.

We didn’t remove the filters, just moved the whole apparatus to a spare shelf out of immediate way.

Good, it’s a start
While the reagents/test kit might be $5 (doubtful), the expensive equipment used, lab operators operating under careful safety protocols, reviewing results, sample tracking and documentation, etc are not free. If a $5 o-ring fails in your car’s air conditioner, it still costs a couple hundred $ for the repair. The mechanic doesn’t install it for free.
In reality, I doubt the true cost of a test anywhere in the world is anywhere near “$5”.

in Kirkland confirms a patient who tested positive for coronavirus died. They came in with “serious respiratory issues.” A second person there also tested positive and is in isolation “receiving appropriate treatment” #KOMONews
A LOT of clarification on the fake news re: hoax and muzzling Dr, Fauci. I’m so sick of the MSM lies, it’s worse than ever and esp in the middle of a crisis like this. What scum.
