So, I assume general/chat is the best spot for local current events.
Not sure who all is in the DFW / NTX area, but The Wall That Heals is coming to the Dallas area (east of downtown, close to Rockwall) this weekend. I'm sure it'd be a good fun experience for a lot of people here, as well as kids/grandkids!
If you aren't in the area, we're the second stop this year so check
https://www.vvmf.org/The-Wall-That-Heals/2020-Tour-Schedule/ for when it comes out close to you!

I was thinking about seeing it. I have seen the original in DC and it closes early on Sunday, so I probably won’t make it to this one.

I remember when I was a young and dumb teenager in the 80s opining that "The Wall" was kind of boring compared to the more majestic monuments all over the mall. The neighbor I said that to was an older fellow and he just said something like "sometimes a monument is about more than how it looks. It's something the country needs now."
Made me think a lot, stayed with me to this day. I'm glad that wall was made just the way it was. I've seen how it touches people and I'm a bit ashamed I ever said anything so foolish as I did those days but grateful I said them to someone wise enough to school me properly.

I think this might rate a Texas bump.
