Country music legend Garth Brooks posted a picture of himself in a "Sanders" jersey after his packed show Saturday night in Detroit, which created a bit of misguided outrage and confusion online.

Brooks wore the No. 20 jersey of former Detroit Lions running back Barry Sanders – a football legend in the city and NFL Hall of Famer – which caused some of his Instagram followers to mistakenly attack him for being a Bernie Sanders supporter.

I had to look twice at this story, because the way it was written, it certainly seemed that Garth was “feelin’ the Bern”. UCK. I could not imagine this man, who has been the troubadour of Americana for many years, supporting this insane little 60s commie idiot. I was quite relieved to continue reading that HIS Sanders was a football player!

well he made his money and now he can just hide. I guess that is what all these millionaires think. The problem they all fail to see is they will be the first ones the new people government will come for.

Hipsters who vote Democrat have been infiltrating country for decades, one look at what Nashville’s become tells the tale. It ain’t just the Dixie Chicks. I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that the whole thing was planned and inflamed on social media just to make country fans look dumb for even suspecting Garth Brooks, who is frankly rather suspect to begin with.

My wife and I are working through the 8 part Ken Burns history of country music. We are through six. It has been great. I told my wife, though, that I am finished watching once I see Garth Brooks’ face. He single-handedly ruined country music.

No surprise at all. This God and Country fraud was the first to renege on performing at Trump’s inauguration. After he withdrew they all did, plus he cheated on his wife once he got big.

Looking at Garth’s girth, it may be t-shirt supporting Colonel Sanders..

Very apt description.

Years ago I went to Vegas and wore my cowboy hat the whole time.
There was many tourists from Japan in Vegas. I had several come up and want their picture taken with me because I looked like Garth Brooks.
It was amusing. I did bare a resemblance to him at the time.
