Just luck mostly, but I did see this virus as a threat early on, and coupled with an overpriced market with an over reliance for Chinese-made, American imports, it was the right time. It’s going to be a painful realization for many that globalization & free trade is a suicide pact for US. DJT has all the right remedies if the Rs stand behind him. We shall see.

You, my man, are going to have some great "get back in" opportunities a few weeks/months down the road.
Back in 1987 my wife and I put a big sell order in to our broker early on Oct. 19th, Friday morning. He didn't place the sells until much later in the day, and we lost a shitload of money because of it.
We were visiting my wife's brother and sister on Martha's Vineyard. Black Monday, October 22nd 1987 was gross for us.
Damn ..... that was one sh*tty vacation.
Turns out back then the market rebounded rather quickly, and we would have been okay if we had done absolutely nothing. Oh well.
We were younger then (I was 40), and it was a really dark time.

I tend to think this virus hubbub will come and go .............. and after all has settled down, some people (like you) can make the best of it.
Good luck and regards from Pittsburgh.
