In situations like that, finding left over drugs in someones medicine cabinet might help. Especially if they dont need it any more. Hey they is an Apocalypse business opportunity. Find that Drug ! Luckily for me, I never trusted them enough to take their drugs. May explain my limp though.....just kidding. Lol.

I'm most concerned about ongoing access to insulin as my wife is a Type 1 diabetic on a pump. The seizures are new territory. The first one on August 26th was an explainable, provoked event from DKA. I was better prepared to manage the seizure at 7 AM Sunday morning. I didn't suspect DKA as her sugar/ketone levels have been well managed on the pump. Sunday's event has been labeled "unprompted" leading to the opinion of the neurologist calling it epilepsy. The medication is a new item in our household.
I suspect you are spot on in the assessment that finding unused prescriptions on the shelf may be a viable market opportunity until the supply chains and manufacturing get back up to "normal".
