You need to explain how you think comparing this to flu stats somehow means something.
My take on the comparison is that with 50k-60k Americans dying each year of flu, all of us go about our daily lives with no real concern, even to the point of not getting a flu shot.
If the virus ends up killing 100,000 Americans, OK, we maybe should have taken it more seriously from day 1, but there’s no point in crying chicken little at this point. What would we each have done differently even if that’s the case?
