I’m trying to keep the worry at bay. As a mother I hate the idea of him getting sick - especially away from home. I’m a bone marrow transplant patient. So, if he’s sick, I suppose I got a few years that I never would have had. (I can’t live in fear. If it’s not this illness, it will be another. It won’t take much to take me out). But, he’s strong and healthy.

As I know you are aware, they were using CT scans in Wuhan when there were no tests. This is what accounted for the huge jump in cases mid month. The “official” method has been changed back now to “In the hospital and tested.” Clearly that dropped the count back down.
Whatever works to keep the counts down.
Both of you need to look into taking D3 if you can.
You would obviously have to ask your doc, he could probably just start taking it.
ALSO, for him, have him get sunshine when he’s at a locale far enough south for that to work to make D3.

You are correct that it’s an inane comparison.
The flu infected nearly 50 million in the US this last year. It had an R naught of approximately 1.1. And a mortality of approximately .08%.
This corona virus has an R naught of approximately 2.5 and a Mortality something above 1%, with many studies putting it over 2%.
That’s why CDC is saying community spread is inevitable. And at R 2.5, once it’s in the wild it will spread rapidly.
Just what is 2% of 50 million?

How do people get this information p to the healthcare workers, doctors, radiologists? Because I’d I were a doctor, I’d be doing chest CTs and absent a positive flu test, treating pneumonia like coronavirus.

Ugh, I’m so aggravated. So Twitter has been a great resource for me to find new cases and international news. But the liberals have bombarded every coronavirus related hashtag to attack President Trump. It’s made it so hard to find good information.

Too many people eat out for nearly all their meals. All they’ve seen in their fridge is a month old leftover fried rice container. They don’t know what a larder is and haven’t a clue how to turn a stove on.
Too many will end up sitting in front of a whole raw chicken and have to call over their neighbor to show them how to cut it up and cook it. BTDT with a 50 year old military wife and 20 something newlyweds. The newlyweds were starving because they had no clue how to cook the food that was in their larder.
Too many don’t drive and think they’ll be able to just call up an uber to pick them up during any emergency be it a snow storm or a gas shortage. Millennials have never known a disaster.
Too many think they will always be able to get their Amazon order overnight. LOL, they’re going to have a rude awakening one day.
