LOL.
The 1, 2, 4 was a nice start and I got all excited for the next number to be 8. But it was 13. Bummer. But 13 = 8 in base 5. So therefore...... who knows.
I also considered Fibonacci. That would have been cool, too! But alas, it was not so.
