Running Back.
“What do they need the most?
Please dont say everything :)”
Okay, I won’t say it but.....
(I did a quick check of the Miami stats. Not good)
Start with the offensive line, the foundation of the offense.
QB’s can’t throw completions if they’re running for their lives.
Receivers can’t complete routes to get open when the QB is running for his life.
Running backs can’t stack up yards and first downs if the line doesn’t open holes to run through.
Draft or trade for an offensive line that can pass block and run block. If you have that a journeyman QB, RB and a couple of capable receivers will get you a winning season offensively.
Other side of the ball again start with the defensive line. You want maneaters. Hungry, hungry maneaters.
They need to be able to play the run and the pass equally well. Interior linemen should be the type who can penetrate and tackle the RB for a loss or put pressure on the QB. DE’s should fit the same mold. Run or pass.
With the right defensive line you can take pressure off the DB’s and LB’s by stopping the RB at the line or pressuring the QB into making bad throws.
Get your lines set then draft or trade for that big name QB, RB or WR. Drafting the QB, RB first will get you a marquee name that will suck up money against the cap and will suffer injuries and not be as effective.
Once you have your linemen look at the other positions and see if any cheap help is available.
Most importantly, coach the team you have not the one you wish you had.
Work within the strengths of the players you have.
Just my two cents.
