I’m not worried about the virus itself. I’m a little concerned about how the world’s reaction will impact the global economy.
Just a little. My place is a perfect SHTF location. :D
I moved away from Ctrl FL almost 10 years ago. Part of it is that we were being priced out of the game. Part of it is that I’m a bit of a prepper. Now we’re in the Ozarks, 100 miles from St Louis, 30 miles from the interstate, 1/4 mile to the nearest neighbor. We’ll just sit here watching the news(internet) and say, glad we don’t live there anymore or glad we don’t live in a city.
We won’t see any bare shelves except for china gadgets at walmart. Smoked oysters maybe, sardines. Auto parts will be an issue. I’m buying tires, brakes and tune up for everything later this week. PS pump’s getting a little noisy on the truck too. Most new aftermarket parts are china and most reman parts are mehico.
The US has a $22T economy. Of the $22T only $3.5T is involved with trade. 84% of the US economy has nothing to do with rest of the world. We will be fine.
