It’s not on my ‘must watch’ list.

Perhaps because we saw the real frames, colorized in the recent documentary ( can’t think of the name) of War World 1......

.....we were less than exuberant for 1917 ......it was a good movie.......just good, imo
We loved the recent Midway

That movie was kind of like flat soda pop. There was something missing from it. I think it was that they never really explored any characters...especially the two main characters. You could have stuck any of the soldiers in that role and the movie would have been exactly the same. I get it that it was a "one shot" gimmick perspective but that didn't leave any room at all to make me care about anyone in the movie.

I had the same reaction to both of those films. My wife and I watched Midway again over the weekend on Blu-ray. Really an inspiring film.

Too bad about Call of the Wild. It's one of my favorite books and could have been a great film.
