I have no idea....other than a Dem Mayor who’s claiming all of these evacuees being transferred to Anniston, is news to him.
I can’t imagine the FedGov not contacting an area/city officials, first, prior to making and announcing plans to send folks to quarantine there.

Husband just read something about Bradley Byrne screaming about coronavirus being brought to Alabama. Must’ve been on Twitter. I’ll look. Alabama has the highest percentage of Trump supporters of the states.

I can. Here in my Central TX County FedGov was housing hundreds of DACA kids at the pricey summer camps in the off season. It was only when some of them ran off that the Sheriff, and local Gov was notified.
The Summer Camp owners were getting big bucks, and apparently agreed to secrecy.
