Plus, nobody will have antibiotics. That alone will spike the death rate. It will be the 1920’s all over again. Actually not, IIRC they had sulfa drugs in the 20’s. More like the 1890’s. Don’t get an infected hangnail.
Now add in supply chain disruptions. Food, seeds, chemicals, fertilizer, etc.
IIRC most municipal water plant chemicals come from china. Everybody will be under boil water forever.
If your water system uses a pump or other equipment...what’s the MTBF of that. Once it breaks down what will you do for water? etc.
I can see how a massive global supply chain disruption could take out 25% of humanity from the add on effects.
Would NOT want to be in a large city at this point.
And I’ve seen China insinuate that once things get started back up, all supply will be for China. rest of the world will be SOL.

Ouch. Did not know that about the water plant treatment chemicals. Would natural lakes and ponds or even rainwater for that matter be infected ? Am assuming loose viri can travel by winds.
