I imagine things are pretty bad in Wuhan, still - but remember, unlike the USSR after Chernobyl, there are two rival governments which under the right circumstances could contend for power in Beijing - the governments in Taipei and in Hong Kong.
Some of what you see and hear on Twitter, etc may be the opening propaganda salvos in a new War of the Three Kingdoms.
If even 5% of the population is out of work, long time, because they’re under quarantine or in the hospital for 3-4 weeks, who earns the paycheck? Who takes care of the kids? Who pays the bills?
Banks will go under.

I have said over and over that Trump is President because 60 000 Democrats in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania believed the throwaway line about a new health plan that would be huge and would cover everybody.

Very bad situation. Stuck in Suth Korea having to rely on a US logistical supply line that is becoming non existent. I would recommend at this point that they apply for South Korea citizenship. At least then they might get tested when needed.

Nope. This will destroy health care. Completely. Doctors, nurses, hospitals all gone. It’s why they are building dozens of hospitals in China with no doctors and no registered nurses. Just feeder and bucket cleaners. I know a few people I would recommend for that job here in the states.
Hundreds in Michigan being monitored due to #coronavirus. On Sunday the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services reported that it is currently monitoring 325 people. All of the people being monitored have been to mainland China. No one is being quarantined. (WDIV-TV)
