That would be 3.5 million deaths in the US.
Not to be grim, but thats probably 3 million on top of the normal death rates.
People are missing this statistic in their dont worry attitudes.
We just don't need another 'flu'. Enough people die already.
I don’t think people could even imagine a world where that many people they know perish from something like that. My brain can hardly get around it.
In 2017 there were about 2.8 million deaths in the USA. Flu and pneumonia around 55,000. Although I think in 2018(?) the flu deaths were around 90,000.
