This will be the forever thread.
I posted some information about the biocontainment box as well, at post #338
4 is official, unofficial is 9
The whiney blogger lady, who vlogged during the entire ship quarantine and who posted a vid taken in-flight wasnt even wearing a mask.
I remember posting about the isolated containment area, when they were on their way back.
I hope none of the open area folks get sick. I thought I remembered reading that they had to place a pax into the isolation area, during flight.
CDC nay be stirring up trouble?
That mask - on guy on the right - doesnt look good, at all.
S.Korea update, 48 additional cases, total 186
17 total deaths

lol. Check :)
didn’t they say before it was just one wonky reagent? and they were going to replace just that? and now the entire kit? geesh
The CDC has me spooked right now with how badly they are managing this outbreak. The testing alone is a fiasco, and the messaging (dont need a mask) is misleading. Some in the organization have been criticizing the President, saying he cut their funding. All very unprofessional, IMO. This is not the time to play politics. Thats what it sounded like they are doing in that article.
Thanks
Looks like South Korea is on top of their game when it comes to testing and reporting. Maybe they will be able to keep this under control or manage the outbreak better then China.
There are probably people at the mid management level of the CDC who are pulling out their hair.
I always like to point out that the number of people running WWII that changed once the war started stuns people. Its like this at any government bureaucracy. One the shooting starts, they move from political to action leaders.
They will get their act together. But not until there are big problems.
One bit of good news from Japan:
One person CAN make a difference, it would seem.
that’s the best picture of the containment ‘trailer’ I’ve seen. Good find.
“17 total deaths”
Where are you seeing 17 deaths?
38yr old white guy is nearly dead with it. Sounds like it targets Asians /s.
My worry is that it would seem that we (USA) are already short on test kits.
WTH?
Get one “spreader” loose at, say, a big school basketball game, or, for that matter, a big Trump rally, and we’re really gonna have some “fun”.
Agree!
Complete fiasco, with the *management* of this outbreak/testing, etc.
Everyone still had to undergo an additional 14 day quarantine, from that flight.
Have any of the passengers, other than those in the isolation section, tested postitive, yet, that we know?
Oh goodness, thanks for catching that. That should be 1 death. FluTrackers has the column headers switched. If anyones a member there, please let them know.
Wow....that Italy cluster does NOT sound good.
No social gatherings, stay home, do not go to the emergency room....yikes.
How did they contract the infection...especially the 38 yo guy? Anyone know?
Guys on Squawk (CNBC) are saying they no longer shake hands with guests on their shows.
Yes! Iran is kind of a different demographic too, right? So, here is an interesting post from Dr. .Ian Mackey - he is a trusted name/researcher. The whole thread is interesting:
@MackayIM
Just something for the “SARS-CoV-2 is a disease of Asians because receptor” thinkers.
Could you go analyse HCoV-NL63 - which also uses the same receptor- and tell me its worldwide distribution?

Not that we know, bit as soon as they do it will be all President Trumps fault (via the HHS, or whatever). The fact is they err all exposed on that ship. I think whoever is going to get it is going to get it at this point.
Sorry for the typos, I hate typing on an iPad!
