This will be the forever thread.
I hope its becoming clear to the its only the flu crowd that this disease has far reaching economic impacts far beyond the health impacts.
Take the Chile Cherries for example....Now those cherries are going to be dumped on the market at a loss. The cherry folks in Chile are going to default on their loans. The drop in prices will impact the Washington State Cherry cropmeaning workers will not be hired, acres wot be tended to, etc. then their loan money goes unpaid.
Only the people and companies that grow cherries for local consumption (or where they dont have to be shipped) will survive.
People and companies that are too leveraged will feel the impacts of this flu without ever showing a fever!
Exactly. We are nowhere near out of the woods.
Pretty sure they would have IF they were Muslims.
As most companies in China are highly leveraged, hey may not have the cash reserves to start up the production once its over.
And, if the death toll is higher than reported (I am being generous) they may not have the staff available to get back to normal for months.
Plus...their loans are due. I cannot imagine that Chinese bank collection efforts are tame.
Seattle and Georgia, too.
The economic and health ramifications will be tremendous. It is not a hurricane like some are expecting to see, it is a slow march. Or like dominoes falling in slow motion.
Seattle and Georgia has positive tests? Do you have a source? I know they both have hundreds in self-quarantine.
South Korea had 30 cases 2 days ago, 51 cases yesterday, and 107 today.
Seattle is the link below. Georgia is what someone posted to me without a link a couple of days ago.

You would think people so accustomed to warning us about rising sea levels would recognize the action.
Yes, but they havent figured out a good way to push for a tax on this one yet. Give it time ;-)
And maybe just to the hospitals for tests and evaluation if not heavily symptomatic?
This could be the source for the outbreak in S. Korea, and has a link to the church as well:

...We ask anyone who has had any contact with the hospital to self-isolate, KCDC Director Jung Eun-kyeong said at a news briefing...
..It was also reported that several groups of the church members visited Cheongdo on a regular basis for voluenteeer works.

Coronavirus live updates: 6,700 people in California told to quarantine at home

can we even imagine those cities with streets deserted?
Yikes! That escalated quickly.
The headline said they were tested positive and were being taken to the hospital. No mention they came down with symptoms. I guess you can assume most anything.
The down is down 300 points in the last few minutes.
I guess it is settling in the Japan and Korea are next.
Idiots on FBN are talking about cases slowing down. They have no idea why the counts changed (CCP changed the counting method.)
