So he was born in about 1951. Are these children listed in birth order? Did she give birth to any of them? If the one who "died of cancer in 1987 at age 36" was her natural son, and perhaps her youngest, did she bear him at age 6, 13, or 19?

Not to mention the potential criminal matter pertaining to Mr. Peters.

That's what I get for trying to pull up some quick basic stats. The answers are probably out there somewhere, but sheesh.

Ja'Net DuBois was a talented lady. I didn't know she composed those theme songs. "Movin' On Up" -- iconic!

Miss DuBois was “fudging” her age (like so many in the business) by at least 10 or more years (she could get away with it since she looked young). She had kids that were already in their 20s when she was on “Good Times” when she claimed to be just 29 when it premiered. Her daughter, Rani, who popped up as a high school classmate of the boys on “What’s Happening !!” was absolutely stunning.

I’m guessing she was 87 and not 74 as reported.
