VANITY: Are vanity posts forbidden on FR while posted under General/chat?

Just wondering because my last one was posted as a vanity in General/Chat and was removed by a moderator for being a vanity. It regarded the possible legal repercussions of wearing a MAGA hat in a work environment with no public involved. So, No more vanity's on FR?

Posts are usually pulled without actually informing the poster; a reason is given, but requires one still has the actual URL of the post - otherwise the poster can’t find the page listing the reason. This has long been pointed out, inexplicably met with insults and more deletions.

JR posted something recently, it didn’t exactly say “no vanities” but it said like, if you are going to post a vanity, you had better make it good, and if it isn’t, at least make a donation to the FReepathon.

The moderators cross reference vanity posts with the FR donor’s list.

You get 1 vanity per year for every $10 donated. If you haven’t donated, or if you’re over your allotment, your vanity gets ZOTTED.
