Peanut butter is so dry bacteria can’t survive in it. Even rancid peanut butter won’t hurt you, it will just taste bad.
Yep back when I was a LEO we would run into hobos near the train yards, they all had a jar of peanut butter with them.
Its a great survival food, doesn't go bad and is full of protein. The Mexicans all had bags of tortillas those dams things must have a shelf life 5 years.
