What was supposed to be a display of sportsmanship turned into an all out BRAWL at a college basketball game in Texas ... when things got violent in the post-game handshake line!
Prairie View A&M had just defeated the Jackson State Tigers in a home game in Waller County -- but things had been chippy between the teams during regulation.

Don’t need to look. Prairie View A&M is 85% black and throw in that it’s at a basketball game...
The comments at the site are not very flattering.
Mostly for the authors.
I was a student in the graduate school at Prairie View A&M University in the 1980s. The majority of the students were hard-working, ambitious, and fairly well behaved. As always, there were a couple of morons who liked to stir things up. I was pretty successful in avoiding any confrontations and got my work done.
On Monday, sportsbook William Hill set the over/under on number of Astros batters to get plunked this season at 83.5.
I thought it was a Historically Black College.
Ironically, today Rwanda is arguably one of the best countries in Africa, looks like all the thugs there killed each other off.
If you are playing at Prairie View A&M or Jackson State, you aren’t going to the NBA.
Prairie View A&M is actually a good school. I reffed a volleyball match there a number of years ago, and have never been treated with more kindness and respect than I experienced there.
See my post #27. I agree with you completely about Prairie View A&M.
Dingbat Sheila Jackson Lee (D) was all in a rage because she couldn’t find a black college for sonny boy to attend. Never mind TX has some of the oldest black colleges in the nation and Prairie View, founded in 1876 specifically for blacks, is 40 miles from her office.
The comments on the site are racist. Almost all of the players were doing their best to restrain their teammates.
Didn’t you guys have a 100 game losing streak in Football?
Something like that. While during the 60s and the 70s the school did produce some outstanding football players, the timeframe that I was there the team was horrible. We may have had a few people with bags over their heads in the stands.
