Plymouth Rock and several other landmarks in the Massachusetts town were vandalized ahead of the 400th anniversary of Pilgrims arriving at the site on the Mayflower. Crews cleaned up the rock and other landmarks late Monday morning and Plymouth town manager Melissa Arrighi said police are investigating the incident. “We are saddened and sickened by the recent vandalism in our historic town,” she wrote. Photos of the rock showed “508” and “MOF” painted over Plymouth Rock’s “1620 inscription.

508 is the Area Code for MA.....................
I know it’s not the first time this has happened there.
I used to work there back in the mid-70s, and I can remember some vandalism taking there. It ended up just being a bunch of kids messing around....not that that makes it acceptable at all. It is a national historic site even if it is in taxachusetts.

I’m surprised the leftists haven’t targeted Mt. Rushmore, as two of the Presidents honored were slave holders and the artist who carved the monument, Gutzem Borglum, also worked on the design of Stone Mountain in Georgia which honors Confederate generals.
Mt. Rushmore is physically guarded, Plymouth Rock is not.

Well, in the mid-70s, Ozone Algore hadn’t invented the internet yet and webcams didn’t exist.
Today? That’s a pretty good question. I suspect they’ll have several up after this episode.
