Winner facing a lot of backlash for doing donuts while Newman could be dead.
Nasty
With Earnhardt nearly all his forward momentum stopped instantly when he hit the wall head-on.
That did not look good.

They were performing CPR and chest compressions on Newman as they pulled him out of his car. Terrible.
horrible crash prayers sent for Ryan Newman the black tarp hiding the area where the crash took place not a good sign praying that he is ok
Video of the cpr
Crash looked like it was on other side of the track from where he did the donuts. There’s no way he could have known the seriousness of it.
I dont know enough about racing to say who was at fault but his team mate is the one that sent him off course....he is going to be crushed for a long time.
Seeing a lot of people blaming it on something Hamlin did that caused the guy to clip him.
I think he is dead. Doing CPR and chest compressions means that it’s over. He was in the car for awhile before they even started doing CPR
The first hit reminded me of Earnhardt, maybe not quite as bad, but then he went upside-down and was hit at high speed right in the cockpit area. Then the fire . . . Didn’t look good at all.
He knew. They have constant communication. He may not know the condition of Newman..but he would have been told there was a bad wreck.
The crash was on the home stretch - isn’t that usually where they do the donuts?
That was a very hard hit, especially the second one to the roof. I sure hope hes still alive. It was that bad.
Gordon was sure to bring up there have been a lot of safety changes..didn’t bring up earnhardt..but that is always an undercurrent.
Horrific impact when car #32 hit Newmans’s car. I’m hopeful but I don’t know how a driver could survive that specific impact right at the driver’s compartment.
Sorry, that page doesnt exist!
already deleted...just as well..not sure I really want to see it. sure dont want to see that crash again
Dale wasn’t wearing a Hans device and, of course, none of the additional safety features today; nonetheless, getting flipped and T-boned when sliding upside down on the track is a different thing.... let alone the sparks and flames. Looked real bad.
That's definitely not good.
