Easy question. They want the Trump admin leaderless and in turmoil, Republican intra party food fights, TV time for themselves during a confirmation battle, etc.
Democrats know McConnell will never allow a MAGA AG to be confirmed. The GOP Senate shot down Ratcliffe for DNI. No chance POTUS gets a patriot as AG.
