Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Normandy (CG-60) seized a cache of Iranian-made anti-tank missiles and other munitions aboard a dhow in the Arabian Sea over the weekend.
Normandy stopped the dhow while conducting maritime security operations over the weekend, in accordance with international law, according to a statement released Thursday by U.S. Central Command.

Question for the Navy guys here. Does the “CG” designation mean “Coast Guard” or something else?

CGN - CRUISER / GUIDED MISSILE / NUCLEAR POWERED PROPULSION
Unfortunately we decommissioned all the CGNs well before the end of their service life. They werent perfect but they were highly armed mobile platforms. (CGN-38 1989-92)

We did, too. Got a medal for it (Humanitarian Services Medal). I did the same thing to get that medal that I did for the rest of my medals, I watched.

One of the highlights of my youth was a tour of USS California with my WW2 US Navy vet grandfather. We were treated like royalty and the tour guide gave me his cover as we left the ship. I was over the moon and wore that USS California hat for years.
Weapons paid for with the piles of money that bammy sent them.
