Chinas Huawei Technologies Co. and two of its U.S. subsidiaries were charged with racketeering and conspiracy to steal trade secrets in a new federal indictment unsealed Thursday. The additional charges come in a criminal case the company already faces in federal court in Brooklyn. They build on allegations the U.S. filed against Huawei in January of last year. Federal prosecutors in Brooklyn said the new charges related to an effort by Huawei and its subsidiaries, both in the U.S. and China, to steal intellectual property, including from six U.S. technology companies. Prosecutors said Huaweis efforts were successful, and resulted in the company obtaining nonpublic intellectual property about robotics, cellular antenna technology and internet router source code. Thursdays indictment also makes new allegations about Huaweis involvement in countries subject to sanctions, such as Iran and North Korea. A lawyer representing Huawei didnt immediately respond to a request for comment.

Chinese thieves.

Gee, what a surprise!!
In a show of appreciation for our support of Brexit the Brits just committed to let Huawei design their 5G network.

yeah they do, they just don’t believe you have any right to yours!
The Chinese don’t consider this to be stealing. To them, it’s cutting edge research.
