Some years ago some radio station had a contest, keep chunging down water and hold your pee, winner gets a nintendo. “Hold your wee for a (nintendo) Wii”. Yes, if only some Nintendo exec hadn’t named it a “Wii” (oe if some radio exec wasn’t born super extra retarded) this wouldn’t have happened.
A woman died of water intoxication several hours after drinking 2 gallons. People at the radio station “haha you look pregnant” .
She didn’t even win, got 2nd place and a couple concert tickets.

I’m reluctant to use the words “outlaw these contests”, but I really do think we’d be better off phasing them out. If they want folks to participate in a contest, why not do something that’s not going to jeopardize them dropping dead from overconsumption of food or liquids ? How ‘bout simple games of skill, obstacle course, etc. ? Heck, even a wet t-shirt contest. Fun for the whole family.
