Retired NBA All-Star Dwyane Wade recently opened up about supporting his daughter Zaya, who identifies as a transgender girl.
In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres on "The Ellen Show" this week, Wade said that one day his 12-year-old came home and asked to have a discussion about using she/her pronouns and going by a different name than the one that she was given at birth

The child is not a girl. The child is a boy.
Fake News denies science.
I saw one article where the term “assigned at birth” was used. So it has come to that!
“came home and asked to have a discussion”
Came home from where? How and where did she learn what she discussed?
When I’m rich and living on my private island, I’m going to have a litmus test for visitors. Anyone who believes in the “identifies as” garbage is not welcome. There will be other criteria, but that’s right up there near the top of the list.
EDIT:
“came home and asked to have a discussion”
Came home from where? How and where did HE learn what HE discussed?
Is he really going to support cutting it off? Or will this be a “wax my” you know whats kind of girl?
What a coincidence, I support Dwayne’s mother’s identity as a dyslexic speller.
I like how he ends the article,, it seems like he will be saying it again at some point in his life after he figures out who he really is.
They conveniently left out a word:
“His 12 year old SON came home...”
Dwayne Wade?
Wasn’t that a Cosby Show character?
it saddens me that this parent does not love his son enough to fight the delusion and get him the mental help he needs.
It might not be a case of mental illness. The kid may just be starved for attention and finally found a way to get it.
that is a form of mental illness too...
Wow, pimping out your messed up kid for publicity.
How many parents of straight kids have “come out” on Ellen? Zero. That’s discriminatory.
He obviously didn't come up with this on his own. If it were his own idea, he wouldn't "come home" and then bring it up. The poor kid was obviously fed this crap in his school.
