Before that they were punks at CBGB’s, my buddy Squeek was their roadie.

I like her. Would a beautiful white woman singing in a band named after her hair be considered racist today?

Sadly, probably yes. Snowflakes would call her ‘Becky’ and go on about white privilege, or something like that.

Yeah, but Pat Benatar for me. I dated then married her little clone. Friends and family called us Rick Springfield and Pat Benatar LOL! Going strong for 35 years now.

Cripes, I still think of that as “new music”...
That was about the time I met her at the Consumer Electronic Show and got my free signed LP. She was bored to tears...

There’s a excerpt from a documentary on how they recorded “Heart of Glass”. It’s neat to see the old drum machines and synthesizers be used and some of the challenges they had to contend with, especially getting their drummer Clem Burke to lay down his track along side a drum machine.

Hell, busting into a rap as a young white woman with a white band would get you there now.

She was great to look at, but her interview at the end of the song told the truth about her — not very bright. All of her band mates came across as dumb as stumps.
