The Pannenjet 737 Max continues to create a depressed mood at Boeing. According to the official website of the US aviation giant, the group did not receive a single aircraft order in January. The last time sales were so bleak was in 1962. At Boeing, deliveries looked poor at the beginning of the year: only 13 aircraft were delivered to customers handed over, including six 787 Dreamliners, The European archrival Airbus, on the other hand, has already received 274 orders for new transport jets and is therefore continuing to pull away. In 2019, Boeing even lost its bottom line for the first time in over 30 years because there were more cancellations than new orders. Airbus benefited from the weakness of its US competitor and for the first time in years took over the world market leadership as the largest aircraft manufacturer. Boeing hopes that the 737 Max will be able to take off again from mid-2020

Thats what happens when you replace engineers with diversity bean counters.
Another great American company ruined by the temptation of financialization, printed money, cheap debt, and a quick buck - courtesy of the Federal Reserve.
Boeing moved head office to Chicago. Then these troubles began...
The bean counters from mcdonnell douglas wrecked the company. Pay attention who you agree to merge with.
MBAs destroy companies, because they ONLY see money. They know NOTHING about operations, only dollars matter to them.
McDonnell douglas’ fault. Bunch of pointy headed bean counters.
Thank God my son didn’t get a job there.
Be my guest.
See my previous.
This sounds like a case of the management ignoring the engineers, one of the oldest stories in the world.
It's such a huge company that maybe it depends which group you work with as to how they approach diversity. I do know a couple of other people who work there and haven't heard complaints from them but they have cush jobs.
Priorities...
And how big is the golden parachute the idiot president got for resigning?
Good enough for the rest of the life I think:)
Good. They caused the deaths of hundreds of people and they sincerely do not care that they did. Is that anyway to run an airplane manufacturey?

While I dont like enforced minority quotas and think that the jobs should go to the most qualified, just because there might be women or minorities building the planes doesnt mean thats the problem
My daughter is currently in an aircraft maintenance program and is doing very well. Before she will be able to get her certification she will have to pass a written, oral and practical exam with the school and FAA.
It is not just the 737 MAX that has big issues, multiple programs have them . The tanker and Starliner to name a couple.
This did not happen overnight, it is a couple of decades of very poor leadership, looks like a good short.
