The 2020 Election is not about Republican vs Democrat but rather Trump vs The Swamp. Both sides of the Swamp are in danger.

There are several possible 3rd Party punks this year.Bernie being the top candidate.If they steal the nomination again he just might be pi$$ed enough to do it.Weld and Kasich just might do it.But they'd get 1% at most.

Bernie,OTOH,would very probably get many votes.Possibly many,*many* votes.

But Mitt is a lily white religious man. He’d still split the left’s radical/insane base.

It’s about Populists vs. the Establishment.

Trump represents Middle America Populism.
Bernie represents New Left Populism.
Both are in a sense a rebellion against the status quo.
A majority of voters of all persuasions have had it with establishment types in BOTH parties.

I expect that in the end we are looking at an historic split into 4 parties.

- a rump establishment Democrat party.
- a rump establishment RINO party
- a new Socialist Party
- a new MAGA Party

The entrance barriers for 3rd parties are a significant hurdle for anyone,
