Anyone have a good link for Long Beach and other West coast port inbound shipping activity? Have seen such in the past used in the context of business activity. Looking for a big drop. Or not.

Not sure how their shipping slows down each year for the holiday- a year to year comparison would be interesting. Especially going forward, as normally the factories have all resumed operation one week after Spring Festival.

There will be a time lag of however long it takes for a ship to leave China, cross the Pacific, and dock.

If it has been less than 14 days and there are no symptoms of illness on board, ships are allowed to enter the port to conduct normal operations, he said, but with restrictions for crew members.
Those restrictions include no open shore leave, Newberry said, though crew members — which usually number 15 to 20 per vessel — can leave the ship to procure provisions and conduct tasks related to vessel operations.
But if any crew member shows symptoms before entering the port, Newberry said, that person’s vessel will be denied entry....
