Imagine this had been released here, first.
In every town larger than 10K people.
In 2 weeks time there would have been tens of thousands of people just dropping dead.
Total chaos.
It doesn’t have to be ebola to be a bioweapon.
First thing that would have happened is China would have terminated all trade and travel with us. leaving us to fight this with the medical supplies we had currently on hand.
And deal with this in our military, who would certainly have been exposed.
At that point they could do whatever they liked in Asia, Europe or wherever...
1. Remember all the turning up dead microbiologists, etc.
2. Remember all the stories of the elites building fortified compounds in places like New Zealand.
Yes, people quote the deaths by flu as some sort of calming perspective, but most of those who die by flu in a winter here are the immune-compromised who were otherwise on death’s door anyway and locked away in nursing homes, etc.
